ATAS/SAG Screening of The Night Manager (2016)

April 7, 2016:

The Night Manager kicked off it's awards season campaign with a For Your Consideration screening for ATAS (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) and SAG (Screen Actors Guild) members at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. (The LA premiere of I Saw the Light was also held at the same theatre a few weeks previously).

After the screening, Deadline's Pete Hammond moderated a panel with Susanne Bier, Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Elizabeth Debicki, Stephen Garrett, and Simon Cornwell.

The move definitely paid off because all of the lead actors and director won major awards for the series.

Susanne won the Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or a Dramatic Special Award at the 2016 Emmys

Tom, Hugh, and Olivia all won Golden Globe Awards.

Elizabeth didn't win any awards... but she's super talented, looks like an actual Goddess and got to date both Hugh Laurie + Tom Hiddleston so who's the real winner here?

Tom Hiddleston delighted the crowd with a story about the time he served as the real Night Manager at the Rosewood Hotel in London.

Fashion:

Tom added a pop of color to his standard blue/grey/black suit routine with this burgundy Paul Smith Wool suit (same style different color).

He also wore his Christian Louboutin Greggo Flatts. Even movie stars aren't immune to the Red Bottom Curse. The famous red soles on Louboutin shoes are just as famous for how easily they wear off.

"Our red soles... Please be advised that the red soles of our shoes will become worn. Do not worry as this is not a defect of the shoe and is expected to happen from use. We strongly recommend consulting a leather care professional or cobbler for specific advice and maintenance..."

It seems silly to pay $1,000+ for a pair of shoes, just to have to continuously pay to have them repaired. Tom eventually had the soles stripped completely.
