Soap and Glory is a UK brand with a quirky 1950s theme. Kinda like if The Balm and Benefit had a baby - Soap and Glory would be it. Vintage (like both), quirky/punny humour (like both) but not, cringy and forceful like Benefit or out-of-touch and overpriced for its drugstore placement - like the Balm. Soap and Glory gives you the best of both worlds along with being relatively affordable for folk to dip and dive, into their wares.
Alright, here's the story. On one hectic afternoon, I saw a set of Soap and Glory lipsticks that were new to me (& Boots). I was intrigued and had enough shrapnel to forgo a burger n cheese dinner for a sensual lipstick. Needless to say my lips left happy.
Rougenie is a bright cherry red creamy vanilla scented lipstick. It has a matte but moisturised look and feels like a comfy lip balm. This is a great shade for those who like soft reds and comfort. It's the type of lipstick that will give you a "pop/flash" of colour without constraining you at all. Its like those pair of shoes that look stylishly painful but are actually a dream to wear.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased about Rougenie. Its a great lipstick to wear full strength or blot and use as a lip stain because its so pigmented & matte but, not drying. My only main gripe is with the Sexy Mother Puckers shade range ... Rougenie is the darkest matte red, which of course is alright but a deeper red wouldn't go amiss. Irregardless of that minute gripe, this lipstick is so chic and comfy that whilst I was planning to swatch some other lipstick products ... I decided not to because, Rougenie felt and looked so nice. Now, for a serial lip product swatching monster like me ... that's saying something.
